Guerlain Chicherit

Born and bred in the French Alps, in the snowsport village of Tignes, Guerlain Chicherit has called the mountains his home and has made not one but three of the world’s most extreme sports his career and playground.

Growing up, Guerlain found a passion for pushing the limit of what is possible, exploring entirely untouched parts of snowy glaciers around the world on the way to become one of the world’s best, record-breaking free-skiers.

After winning his fourth world title in free skiing, Chicherit decided to try his hand at motor sports instead, throwing himself into rally driving to start. He won the French Rally Cup, the 2009 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup, as well as several stages of the Dakar Rally, which, known as the toughest endurance rally in the world, Guerlain has raced 10 times now.

Combining his passion for the mountains and four-wheels, he pushed the limits of precision and determination as a stunt driver to complete the world’s first unassisted backflip in a car, in February 2013 in snowy Tignes. The following year, he wowed the world with his attempted world’s longest car jump, which he spectacularly crashed, but somehow walked away from unscathed.

2015 saw Guerlain make is debut in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, to which he returned in 2016 and 2017 entering selected events in preparation for the 2018 season, which he will enter with his newly created 2- car Renault Mégane team.

With an incredible eye for detail, a lifetime in the mountains and a wealth of experience, Guerlain is working with Slope Angel to help and advise on technical aspects and essential future developments.
